Personal stories and favorite songs in the performance “Memories in Frames”, handmade sweets with Mammy’s Caravan, ornaments and many photographic clicks on Facebooth, “coming” on Sunday, December 15, 2024, 11:00-14:00, at MOMus-Thessaloniki Museum of Photography (Warehouse A, Pier A, Thessaloniki Port area) at our established pre-Christmas meeting “Merry CLICKmas”, with free participation for everyone, young and old!
The protagonists of the special performance “Memories in Frames” are the participants in the workshop of the same name, which was implemented within the framework of the program “Utilization of Art as a Prescribed Therapy for the Promotion of Social Cohesion and Activation of the ‘Silver Economy’ (Greece 2.0)”.
During the 12 two-hour workshop meetings, MOMus-Thessaloniki Museum of Photography served as a safe space for sharing personal experiences and memories. The participants, using photos from their family albums as an opportunity, presented personal stories, recalling memories and emotions. Under the guidance of narrator Anthi Thanou, these stories, framed by music and songs, constitute the content of the performance. Some of the personal narratives will soon be made into videos or podcasts, which will be published on social media and on the MOMus website.
The new cycle of the program will begin in January 2025. All adults over 65 years of age are eligible to participate. Participation in the program is free of charge (information & registration: reception.photography@momus.gr, 2310 566716).
