The access, opening hours and ticket policy at MOMus - Museum of Contemporary Art during the period of the 88th Thessaloniki International Fair (7-15.09.2024) are as follows:
Access will be from the south gate of the TIF (OTE Tower) and from the north entrance of TIF-HELEXPO, on Egnatia.
During the period Monday 9 - Friday 13.09, from 10:00 to 16:00 the full ticket to the museum will be valid, while from 16:00 to 22:00 the reduced ticket will be valid.
MOMus-Experimental Center for the Arts welcomes once again the Thessaloniki Queer Arts Festival, which this year develops its program under the general theme "What is Diversity?" at Warehouse B1, Pier A at Thessaloniki Port with two performances.
The word diversity has been used in recent years to describe the variety in the visibly irregular shape of members of Western societies. It reminds us and emphasizes that there cannot be two identical shapes, as nature constantly creates in a disorderly manner.
On the occasion and in the context of the exhibition "Designing the future. Drawings for art, architecture and design in the period of the Russian and Soviet avant-garde", a one day meeting entitled "AI X Thessaloniki | How will generative AI shape creative industries moving forward?" at the MOMus Museum of Modern Art, in collaboration with the UNESCO Chair on Futures Research, on Monday 03 June 2024, at 16:00, with Prof. Neil Leach as keynote speaker.
The MOMus-Museum of Contemporary Art makes... pauses and comes back with a renewed space and a new exhibition!
The exhibition space will remain closed to the public until Thursday 23 May 2024, except for the dates when we will celebrate this year's International Museum Day with a multi-thematic programme full of activities! The exhibition space will be open again from Friday 24 May when the exhibition "From now on. Stories for a next tomorrow".
A talk with the Art Historian, Sjeng Scheijen.
The internationally acclaimed Art Historian Sjeng Scheijen will give a fascinating talk at the MOMus-Museum of Modern Art-Costakis Collection on the occasion of the recent publication of his book entitled "The Avant-gardists! Artists in revolt in the Russian Empire and the Soviet Union 1917-1935", on Thursday, 25 April, 2024, at 17:00.
The festive opening hours of the MOMus venues are as follows:
New lecture dates and a workshop make up the new seminar cycle entitled "The Sound Machines of the Avant-Garde" that will take place at MOMus-Museum of Modern Art-Costakis Collection in Thessaloniki, led by Andrey Smirnov.
The meetings will be held in English, without interpretation, with registration and participation fee for those interested. Find below information on bookings and tuition fees.

All venues will adjust the opening hours on 24 & 31 December 2023 and will be open to the public until 14:00.
*On 28 December 2023 and on 04 January 2024, MOMus-Museum Alex Mylona will be open to the public between 11:00-19:00.
On Friday, 17 November 2023, all MOMus venues will be closing at 14:00, to facilitate the access of visitors, due to the planned marches for the anniversary of the Polytechnic.
