The film “Representation” (1970, director: Theo Angelopoulos) functions as a core for the 63rd Thessaloniki Film Festival, as a main concept that condenses and expresses how we perceive and experience the world around us. In Angelopoulos’ filmography, but also in art in general, representation is identified with the human interpretation of reality and life itself.
Twelve Greek and international artists draw inspiration from Theo Angelopoulos debut as a film director and reflect on the forms, content and limits that accompany the process of representation, in the main exhibition of this yea’rs festival under the title “Anaparastasi: Reconstruction, Reenactment, Reconstitution”
