We are invited -young and old- in a journey of memory and tradition entitled “Memories in a frame. Imperishable memories from perishable wedding photos” which will take place on Saturday, April 12, 2025, 12:00-13:30, at MOMus-Thessaloniki Museum of Photography (Warehouse A, Pier A, Thessaloniki port area).
In the workshop of the same name that preceded it, men and women aged 65+ used wedding photos to highlight personal and family stories, stories that are sweet, unpredictable, funny and even tragic, which will be offered like… little delights at the event at the Museum.
Through old wedding photographs we discover the lives behind the images, the loves, the expectations, the secrets and the truths of each era, while the narratives will be accompanied with music and songs.
Living words, narration and music are here to prove that memories remain indestructible even when the photographs fade.
The action is implemented within the framework of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan Greece 2.0, funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU.
